DEMONSTRATION VEGETATED ROOF Chicago, IL

Richard Price was project architect for the design and installation of a demonstration green roof on Chicago City Hall. As part of a citywide environmental initiative, the mayor and the city department of the environment asked the project team to analyze potential benefits to the city, and recommend appropriate vegetated roof systems.

As a result of the project, the city implemented a comprehensive green roof policy for all publicly-funded buildings, offering  incentives for the installation of green roofs and other innovative stormwater management techniques
